So, it's been more than a year since I first uploaded A FISTful of Death Metal on itch. 

But now it's finally complete! Just in time for Yule/Winter Solstice and the recent FIST jam, though this time I won't be submitting this zine for it again. Preview pic is extremely relevant since it's also all to do with the current season (and also a favourite metal musician of mine, if it isn't terribly obvious).

The updated version of the zine (V1.1) includes some fixes to the grammar and formatting to previous sections, but also most importantly it finally has the Enemies & NPCs section! Which includes demons, different spins on classic undead monsters, eldritch horror entities, a sentient computer virus, four War Brothers NPCs from different bands that may act as rivals to your agents, and more! It even includes 6 unique bosses, each with the potential to cause the end of the world!

As for what's next? Though this zine is technically complete (though its less of a proper "zine" and more of a "book" now, apologies for the absurd file size), I still have plans for improving it in the future, from redesigning the whole zine to give it a more gritty look akin to actual metal albums and concert posters, to adding even more content such as missions, bonus items and tables, or even crossovers with other TTRPGS (looking at you Liminal Horror and MÖRK BORG!) though realistically this isn't going to happen anytime soon, if ever. But I'm not abandoning the World of Death Metal I created for FIST just yet, as I might publish more FIST-related content set within the same universe. 

In the meantime, I'm going to take a look at the submissions for the latest FIST jam. Happy Yule, and as always, stay brutal.
