Now: The 1990s, the eve of a new millennium. The end of the Cold War introduced all sorts of breakthroughs to the public - occult science, reanimation technology, discovery of supernatural creatures and extreme music, to name a few. And with them brought a slew of brand new threats to humanity - demons, undead, eldritch horrors, cults, dictatorships, mega-corporations and terrorist cells, all of them armed with dangerous, scarcely-understood power, and all of them omens of the apocalypse.

The fear of nuclear annihilation may be behind us now, but the world is far from at peace. As part of a cadre of exceptional misfits (and metal musicians), be prepared to defend the common man from the end of the world as we know it.

A FISTful of Death Metal is a supplement to FIST: Ultra Edition in which you play as FIST operatives who live double lives as powerful, strange and deadly metal musicians playing the most brutal music in the post-Cold War era, all the while fending off the looming new threats of total armageddon. Inspired by Metalocalypse, James Gunn's Suicide Squad and also ghostlenin's FIST supplement GLAM (which is glam rock-themed instead of death metal) this zine provides the tools for you to make your own metalhead FIST agent, take your band of misfits on tours, plus many more.

What's Included

The current version of this zine includes:

• A new dice rolling system using 3D6 instead of the usual 2D6, and the new ultra success/failure conditions, BRUTALITY and DAMNATION
• 36 new traits (largely inspired by death metal bands, albums and songs)
• 6 new roles
• A guide for referees on running gigs (taken directly from GLAM), tours, and practice sessions
• 8 new factions (and 2 CYCLOPS divisions) who may or may not contribute to the end of the world as we know it
• 16 instruments which double as powerful weapons
• 6 new weapon tags

But that's not all...
